Training ENGAGEMENT with international participants, Iasi, Romania, March 2011<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

During March 26-27, 2011, I had the great pleasure to deliver the training ENGAGEMENT<\/strong><\/a> with participants from seven countries: Romania, Bulgaria, Italy, Lithuania, Turkey, Slovenia, and Poland. We tackled a problem of European public concern raised by a Greek person on www.public-policies.eu<\/strong>, entitled “employment opportunities for women in remote areas<\/a>.” We extended however the problem to address more vulnerable and at-risk groups like youth or immigrants. After one full day of work, participants identified solutions to address the problem and made a policy paper<\/a> that will be sent to Mr. Laszlo Andor, European Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion. Although the problem had been published long before the training, it received no solutions from citizens. So, participants first brainstormed solution ideas inspired from the situation in their countries:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \t
