On September 22, my associate and I are officially opening Bankers Café & Hubb, on Tecuci Street 159 (at the ground floor of Melcret building). This is the first place in Galati dedicated to entrepreneurs and their events. The project allowed us to design an area of about 150 square meters that can host training courses, conferences and various presentations. We’ve created 20 working stations that allow young entrepreneurs to start a new business, so we designed a unique package for the local community of Galati that contains: working space in a shared office, private locker, Internet access, secretary services, phone, fax, printer, and basic accunting services. It is everything that an entrepreneur could need to start a business. However, we want to bring in high-quality people, who have great creative potential and who want to turn their ideas into action.

Next to the hubb, we’ve created a cafe in the ’30-’40 style of the United States. This is the perfect place for the hubb members and entrepreneurs to socialize. We are hosting live concerts of jazz, piano and guitar. The atmosphere will be defined by good style and high quality. At the cafe you will always have something interesting to read. For example, we planned to issue and distribute the “CoffeeTips” – a brochure containing articles about the stories of effective entrepreneurs, who turned an idea into million or even billion-dollar businesses. We will also have local and national newspapers, interesting books about business and access to a network of entrepreneurs through the Young Entrepreneurs Association from Romania.

So, if you want to start the day off serving a coffee at our place and finding new ideas to develop your business or your activity in general, or if you want to meet quality people and spend quality time watching a live concert in the evening, Bankers Café & Hubb will become a favorite place. The story of this project started a year ago, when I met my associate, Gregor Teodorescu. Together we made the planning and started its implementation with companies that are mostly members of the Young Entrepreneurs Association. We also got funding from the Agency for SMEs through START 2011 Program and a loan from CEC Bank. We had a great collaboration with the program officers and I thank them for their support and advice at the implementation phase. The idea to publish “CoffeeTips” came as a result of attending the Community Solutions Program of the US Department of State and implemented by IREX. All the work at this project was conducted along great young entrepreneurs from companies like Euro TDC, Consumcoop, MultiPrint, Zeus, Rovis Leader, 3Media, Mobirom, Diva Impex, Procesor Tech, Octoserv, and Melcret. The design of the place was made by Stephan Eyck, a young architect from Oradea. The evolution of the project cand be seen at the photo gallery from our website, www.bankershubb.ro.
