Business mentorship for entrepreneurial students

In Romania, young people start a business at an average age of 27 years old. To me, this seems too late! In more developed countries, the entrepreneurial spirit is developed beginning with high school or even secondary school, so there is no surprise to see an 18-year old launch a new product or service. Within the framework of START YOU project run by the Young Entrepreneurs Association and Euro<26, we are organizing business mentorship sessions at Bankers Hubb. Our guests, who are young people having experience running businesses, are telling their stories to interested students, explaining about real-world risks and advantages. Although we were expecting greater audience, the students who are members of student organizations were more interested in our project. It seems that those who are engaged in extracurricular activities are also more motivated to become entrepreneurs. Also, we felt once again the need that the high school curricula should contain entrepreneurship classes, as a visionary solution for our economic environment. Our mentors during these days were: Valentin Cosma (DeverSoft), Gregor Teodorescu (Bankers Cafe & Hubb), Catalin Nechifor (All Business Solutions), Radu Turcescu (Smart PR Group).
